Terms of service
Last updated: November 3, 2026
These terms govern your use of KDP Book Cover Studio (kdpbookcoverstudio.com), a service that creates Kindle ebook covers with artificial intelligence from a conversation.
Operator and acceptance
Carlos Alfonso Arbelaez Acevedo, an individual located in Colombia, operates KDP Book Cover Studio. By creating an account, buying credits or using the service, you accept these terms, the Privacy policy and the Refund policy, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
1. The service
KDP Book Cover Studio helps you plan your cover in a chat (title, subtitle, author and style) and uses artificial intelligence to generate a Kindle ebook cover as a 1600 × 2560 pixel JPG.
Planning in the chat and analyzing reference images do not use credits. Generating or editing an image does, as explained below. Features may change over time.
2. Your account
- You sign in with Google or with a sign-in link we email you. We do not use passwords.
- You are responsible for protecting access to your email and Google account, and for activity on your account. Do not share your sign-in links.
- You can delete your account at any time from the account menu. This deletes your projects, conversations and images, and any unused credits are lost. If you want a refund for a pack, request it before deleting your account.
- We may suspend or limit an account if we detect fraud, abuse, security risks or a violation of these terms.
3. Credits
1 credit equals 1 generated or edited image (a cover proposal or an edit). Credits are sold in one-time packs, with no subscription and no automatic renewals:
- Starter: $10 for 20 credits.
- Author: $20 for 45 credits.
- Publisher: $50 for 120 credits.
- Purchased credits do not expire while your account exists.
- When you verify your email you get 3 welcome credits, once per email address. Images carry a watermark until your first purchase (and carry it again if all your purchases are refunded).
- If a generation fails, the credit is automatically returned to your balance.
4. Nature of credits
A credit is a unit of use within KDP Book Cover Studio. It is not money or virtual currency, does not earn interest, cannot be transferred to another account or resold, and cannot be redeemed for cash except when a refund applies under the Refund policy or applicable law.
5. Payments through Dodo Payments
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record: it charges you, calculates and handles applicable taxes, and issues the receipt for your purchase. By paying, you also accept the conditions Dodo Payments shows during checkout.
Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) before you pay. Taxes may vary by country. KDP Book Cover Studio does not receive or store your full card number.
Refunds are governed by the Refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to:
- Create illegal, fraudulent or misleading content.
- Create content that infringes third-party rights, such as copyright, trademarks or publicity rights.
- Imitate brands, logos, existing covers or real people.
- Bypass limits, abuse welcome credits (for example, with multiple accounts), access other people’s accounts, interfere with the service or automate its use abusively.
7. Your content and generated covers
You keep any rights you already have in what you provide: your book description, the cover text and any reference images you upload. Only upload material you have the right to use. You allow us to process it only as needed to provide the service, as described in the Privacy policy.
Commercial use: you may use the covers you generate to sell your book, on Amazon and in other stores, and to promote it.
Covers are generated with artificial intelligence. Styles are inspiration: they capture the visual language that works in each genre and never copy a real cover. Reference images you upload are used to imitate their style, not to copy them.
AI-generated results may not be unique, may resemble other images and may contain errors (for example, in the text). Always review your cover before publishing it. Whether AI-generated images can be protected by copyright depends on the law of each country, and we do not guarantee that you can register them.
8. Publishing on Amazon KDP
You are responsible for following the rules of Amazon KDP and of any other store where you publish. KDP asks you to disclose AI-generated content when you publish, so mark it in their questionnaire.
The JPG follows the size KDP recommends for ebook covers, but we do not guarantee that KDP or any other platform will accept a cover or a publication. Always check the preview before publishing.
9. Availability and liability
We work to keep the service available, but interruptions, maintenance, generation errors, provider changes or capacity limits may occur.
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the service is provided as is and as available, with no guarantee of commercial results, sales, publication approval or income. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service changes. The current version will always be on this page, with its last updated date. If a change is significant, we will let you know on the website or by email.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. Nothing in them limits mandatory rights granted to consumers by applicable law. Before going to an authority or court, you can email us so we can try to resolve the claim directly.
